Voting is our right...why we're not using it??

India....being one of the world's biggest democracy has an also inspired many other countries as well to follow the path of democracy. First of all....in a democracy, people have equal right to vote and elect their representatives but are we using our power in an appropriate way???

Voting was considered in our constitution from the very first years of its implementation. Then late Mr. Rajiv Gandhi (Ex. Prime Minister) implemented Universal Adult Franchise through every citizen above age of 18 got the right to vote. Even after so much of rights, people pay no attention towards voting. Why is it so???

The reason is that some consider voting as wastage of time because they find standing in long queue a silly thing. Another one is that they try to express their anger through not giving vote as they are dissatisfied with their representative and sometimes people are not aware of their rights, which mostly happens in rural regions. What government should do to overcome such condition???

Now here people should think in a matured way and remove this sort of thinking that standing in queues is silly as that's the way to maintain people. Not giving vote is a wrong way of showing dissatisfaction as we can improve that mistake by giving vote to another candidate. Government should be active in organizing workshops in rural regions to make them aware not only about voting, but also about the rights they have to save themselves from exploitation. It's also our responsibility not only for adults but for teenagers to be aware of our rights, never consider voting just as granted because it affects you for next five years. So elect your candidate smartly....please give vote and be a respectable citizen.

Vulgarity in movies & songs, why it is not regarded as wrong step??

Nowadays entertainment is regarded as one of the important part of a youngster's life and around which they revolve. That's the thing which is reaching people much faster than government policies. Almost everybody is now habitual of listening music. Some people don't even start their work without having some music around them. But everything has its own drawback and today's music is getting towards vulgarity....can it be regarded as a correct step???

If we turn back to our golden times of music.....which had our legendary singers like Kishore Kumar, Mohammad Rafi and many more which were even influenced by our country's culture. But here we can also say that even our taste changed time to time. Till 1970s, we had a mixed session of romantic and as well as sad music. But when we reached in 1980s, singers like Asha Bhonsle, Bappi Lehri came with an idea to sing on theme of disco, firstly inspired by western culture. But nobody knew that it was a welcome to vulgarity in Bollywood music.

During 1990s, singers thought of getting more influenced by western culture but still we had singers like Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu and more which created a platform for existence of full-fledged music regarding Indian Culture. But during this period we got a new term for singers called rappers which gave a new look to songs making it a little more westernized.

As a drawback, during starting of this period most singers from the 1980-90s lost their existence which gave singers of modern era a chance to give people a new sort of choice which also brought to us a new concept of creating re mixes. It was also a time where people were more eager to accept the western culture. As a result, American bands like Green day, Linkin Park also gained popularity in India and now the condition is that most youngsters are attracted to towards singers and bands of western oriented countries. But these are the one who made vulgarity a part of music.

Today, Bollywood music is getting vulgar and vulgar, not because of writers and singers but due to the negative aspects which has taken place in our society. Latest singers like Honey Singh say that they are only reflecting the type of thinking our society has but isn't it's their responsibility to create or bring a change in negative aspect our society has. Now movies and songs even contain sexual, abusive content which is attracting youngsters. Don't they think what impact it will leave on youngsters.....Will it create a better thinking in them??? Not at all so why don't they put a stop over it??

It's also our fault that we've created interest in it. Things run over our interest; if we start boycotting it, naturally it will be stopped by its own. So it’s better to maintain a sense of respect and interest for songs of our golden period. Also it’s important for youngsters not to get attracted towards songs, movies with vulgarity which affects their thinking, making them a part negative aspect. I personally believe that if we remove these bits of negative aspects.....so that life will be much prosperous as well as safer.......

Till when we will tolerate naxalist's attacks....does it mean anything??

Recently there was a tragic incident which took place few days back....a group of thousand Maoists attacked on congress rally when they were returning back, which has shook the strength of congress in Chhattisgarh. Even people there are protesting against them but will this affect Maoists??

Before moving forward we need to move back in year 1967 when in a small village Naxalbari (West Bengal) where a group of people progressed towards starting an organization which will push down land-owners who were against tribal. Actually the reason behind making organization was their dissatisfaction with government and society. Government allowed factories and industries to establish in forest area which was affecting the greenery and they were against it. Also society was not ready to accept them and didn't agree to allow them in their village's premises due to caste discrimination.

If government would have accepted their demands, which were even correct, it won't have cost us thousands of life. Many operations such as Operation Green Hunt and initiatives like Integrated Action Plan took place to stop their activities but in return it strengthened their intentions to harm the political base which was a main reason for the recent incident. So is government really trying to eradicate their activities???

Many state governments have tried to give them reservation in jobs, schools but they didn't agree to it. I strongly believe that people have so much humiliated them that now they have totally taken the initiative to be in the way they are. Many officials have tried to have an agreement with them and to be a part of civilized world but they boycotted it.

After reading this many will find it strange that in Indian society where these tribal were not given any importance, have now became so strong that have formed Maoist groups and even government is afraid of them. But in turn it shows that if they were given equal respect and place like others so they would have played a key role in development of India and have created wonders. So will the time come when they will be a part of civilized India??

Are youngsters frustrated of their life???

Nowadays every one is busy in  one-another way, whether in official works, students in home work, and our base for future women engaged in household chores or in their jobs. It's good that every one has a specific field to prove their capabilities but is it taking away precious time of which all need to spend with each other??

Today it's very common issue that even due to minor issues, youngsters are the one who commit suicide. Here one thing strikes in my mind that have we lost the potential of tolerating stress?? I suppose yes. Even at home the conditions are somewhere same that at times if they are scolded....they try to elope for there at times.

At this condition we can't force them, it's because of competitions which they or even we face all around. Nobody is ready to face failure as they think it will spoil their respect but it's the only way through which we can make ourselves perfect. But I think that's the reason they get frustrated. Recession is increasing, causing danger to jobs and employees are tensed about it, which is directly or indirectly increasing frustration.

Best ways to get rid of it is to accept failures and try to learn from it and don't be so tensed about exams or competitions and try to have some stress busters. One way to be away from tension is to meditate for a while. Also try to share your feelings with others so that others may find a way to sort out your tension which can remove lack of communication with others. So what do you think??

A young, civilizing India.......Is it getting towards a right path??

We're getting modernized day by day, increasing standard and lifestyle but it's obvious that each subject has two aspects.... Are we getting towards a right one??

It's good to mould yourself according to new environment but it's important to focus towards getting socialized as well. But nowadays getting socialized means spending a lot of time over Facebook, just chatting, commenting, sharing.

We know that sites like Facebook were just intended for purpose of getting in touch with friends but modernity has changed its use. It is sometimes used to spread videos or photos which contains uncensored content and may lead to harassment of people. These social sites are even creating a platform for hackers to gain or misuse our information.

Here rises a problem of lack of communication which is creating a gap among parents and children who are leading to certain condition where they don't get proper guidance and get attract towards the negative aspects such as addicted to drugs, liquor, and cigarette and when get in depression, may commit suicide so parents should have a look over it.

As we get modernize, it becomes important for us to save our self from the negative aspect of society. Even term modernizing doesn't mean that having a good self-respect, money, home but it's also our moral responsibility to remove stereotypes which are affecting women and children. So steps should be taken in support of uplifting the society.

We all youngsters are the one who will create a better future for India but for that we need a many productive minds which will come together to shape up this country......nothing is meant for a wrong reason, parents give us liberty just to make us a better human being and gaining knowledge and not getting towards it's wrong aspect  but it depends on us that whether in which way we adopt them...so are we moving on a right path??

Cricket with fixing.....can be acceptable for all?

It's just pathetic that even cricket, for which people spend their precious time and money is not free from corrupt bodies....also a shameful moment for India that being a major part of it, no authority is able to prevent.

Remember the year 1983, when Indian team won its 1st world cup, proud moment for Indian cricketers which encouraged all youngsters to be part of it and then again this much awaited moment came in year 2011.....it was just the hard work of them that they made India Internationally respected and known.
But there were some who didn't even bother about their team's and own respect and knelt down in front of money.....got into match and spot fixing.
Whole India was ashamed that such an experienced player like Mohammad Azharuddin will spoil their team's decorum....it was a time when such cases were not common and we thought just by removing these few errors work will be fine but today it went on a large scale.

I would really appreciate the effort led by Delhi Police towards preventing fixing and cricketers like S. Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila, and Ankit Chavhan were caught by them which made it easy to find out more culprits which are still in motion. Still many secrets are revealed about their link with bookies and call girls where bookies are having relation with underworld personalities like Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar. According to a report, around 3000 bookies are active in Mumbai-Surat region.

Bollywood personality Vindu Dara Singh was also arrested in allegation of being a bookie and helping some of them in escaping from India. He revealed some more names from bollywood which are not out now.

17 years ago, Tehlaka (a media agency) did a sting operation of our cricket legends Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri where they revealed so many secrets about fixing during 1986. Ravi revealed that Azharuddin was part of fixing and had a strong link with them. It was told that he also purchased watches worth lacs of rupees and it was strange that he had all that money ready in cash and sometimes it was arranged from other cities and countries. It was also reported that the final of a cricket league named Titan Cup was tried to be fixed. Now if these things were kept in mind and further investigation took place at that time so today it won't be having any existence.

Huh!!! Such a network of bookies where still famous personalities are in....what should be done here. It's not at all possible to keep an eye on someone every time so there should we something which will always be a threat for them...i.e. A strong law....

Here the culprits are behind the bars in case of cheating.....were they can get free easily. What we need is a strong law for which demand is raised. It should have a provision of life imprisonment and also it should be kept in mind that whenever big events like IPL are organized....authorities should keep hawk eye on activities of players, their contact with outsiders.

These culprits don't even think how eagerly people come to support the teams, without thinking about their time, money but what to do with greediness of players which turn their way towards the world of fixing and spoil their carrier....what do you think that is it acceptable or not???

When Indians will get a perfect , democratic and corruption-free government???

  • First of all on 22nd of May our Indian Government completed it's 4th year of out of its 5 years of tenure.....also the time for the opposition to give a complete account of Government's goals that weren't achieved....

Even I as a student get this question in mind that will this UPA government continue for its third tenure as the central government?? Nowadays all of us are aware about the scams which raised in past years and are still in motion. It gives a complete picture in mind that how irresponsible our governing authorities are. But puppets in hands of these such as CBI try to get rid of them. The 2G scam , Commonwealth games scam , coal gate scam , scam in buying of army planes and so on....even our government's supporting parties are not free of scams....recent example of BSP. Will you say this government trustworthy? Obviously not.

Let's move on to another drawback of this government....the day to day price hikes in daily need products. Here again comes a question for the government that why there is need for increasing taxes on products when they have already increased VAT and others? For the welfare of people or to fill the pockets of ministers , I doubt. In the country where around 50% of its population is below poverty line and still ministers are the one who enjoy all type of luxuries....just like spendthrifts , move in luxurious vehicles , spend crores in weddings, parties , foreign trips where poor still beg for their rights to food and other resources.....Can we still say that government is bothered about us?

One issue which is raised during debates over government that whether our PM Dr. Manmohan Singh has a control over the government and can take individual decision? It seems to be a funny one but most of the time big decisions are taken when a meeting is held with Ms. Sonia Gandhi which directly questions to his capability whether he is also a puppet in hands of someone...big matter.

I'm to young to talk about such critical matters but as it's my first blog so I wanted to point out some of issues which affected UPA 2 a lot. I would rather appreciate if more bloggers come across with more issues related to government and make us aware. Now choice is yours whether you want such type of a government where even our representatives use our hard earned money in just keeping scams in motion and also keeping investigating agencies in their hands
Or
a perfect, democratic and corruption free government....what are your suggestions??
