- First of all on 22nd of May our Indian Government completed it's 4th year of out of its 5 years of tenure.....also the time for the opposition to give a complete account of Government's goals that weren't achieved....
Even I as a student get this question in mind that will this UPA government continue for its third tenure as the central government?? Nowadays all of us are aware about the scams which raised in past years and are still in motion. It gives a complete picture in mind that how irresponsible our governing authorities are. But puppets in hands of these such as CBI try to get rid of them. The 2G scam , Commonwealth games scam , coal gate scam , scam in buying of army planes and so on....even our government's supporting parties are not free of scams....recent example of BSP. Will you say this government trustworthy? Obviously not.
Let's move on to another drawback of this government....the day to day price hikes in daily need products. Here again comes a question for the government that why there is need for increasing taxes on products when they have already increased VAT and others? For the welfare of people or to fill the pockets of ministers , I doubt. In the country where around 50% of its population is below poverty line and still ministers are the one who enjoy all type of luxuries....just like spendthrifts , move in luxurious vehicles , spend crores in weddings, parties , foreign trips where poor still beg for their rights to food and other resources.....Can we still say that government is bothered about us?
One issue which is raised during debates over government that whether our PM Dr. Manmohan Singh has a control over the government and can take individual decision? It seems to be a funny one but most of the time big decisions are taken when a meeting is held with Ms. Sonia Gandhi which directly questions to his capability whether he is also a puppet in hands of someone...big matter.
I'm to young to talk about such critical matters but as it's my first blog so I wanted to point out some of issues which affected UPA 2 a lot. I would rather appreciate if more bloggers come across with more issues related to government and make us aware. Now choice is yours whether you want such type of a government where even our representatives use our hard earned money in just keeping scams in motion and also keeping investigating agencies in their hands
Or
a perfect, democratic and corruption free government....what are your suggestions??
Nice work!!
ReplyDeleteI liked how you, at such a young age, are taking interest in these issues. But i would like to add something.
Nothing is perfect. There can never be a perfect government, no matter how hard you me or anyone tries. As a citizen of India, I am fine with some imperfections as long as the welfare of the people is the priority. The government is taking certain steps to ensure the welfare of the people, particularly the state government of Gujarat. However, I do agree with you that we should stop all these scams and put the money in the welfare of the people. And the day that happens, I think we will have a perfect democracy, if not a perfect governmoent....
P.S. I think you should work on the look of your blog.
